How long does a Strategic Direction Drafting engagement take?

Most engagements run four to six weeks from first interview to final document. The timeline depends on the number of people in the leadership group and the availability of internal documents for review. We confirm a working timeline at the start of each engagement.

What does the Quarterly Strategic Companion subscription involve month to month?

In months without a quarterly session, you have access to two consulting hours for short questions, document review, or thinking-through a specific issue. In the month of a quarterly review, we prepare the structured pack, facilitate a half-day operating conversation, and write up agreed actions within five working days.

Is a Capability Investment Note suitable for a single department or must it cover the whole organisation?

It works well for a single function, a cross-cutting team, or the organisation as a whole. The scope is agreed before work begins. The focus on one capability question is what keeps the engagement compact and the deliverable useful rather than diffuse.

How are interviews conducted — in person or remotely?

We prefer to meet in person where possible, particularly for the first interview in a direction drafting engagement. For organisations outside the Klang Valley, or where schedules make in-person meetings impractical, we conduct interviews by video call. The quality of what we write does not depend on the medium.

What happens to the information we share during an engagement?

All information shared is held in strict confidence. We do not reference client work in our own communications without the client's explicit agreement. Engagement documents remain the property of the client organisation on completion.

Can we start with a smaller engagement and move to the Quarterly Companion later?

Yes. Many clients begin with a Capability Investment Note or a Direction Drafting engagement to see how we work together before considering the subscription. There is no requirement to commit to anything further at the outset.
